K-pop rumor will NewJeans and aespa make Coachella history in 2025

K-Pop fans are buzzing, thanks to a viral post suggesting that aespa and NewJeans might grace the Coachella stage next year. The speculation, ignited by a supposedly leaked lineup on X (formerly Twitter), has fans dreaming of what could be two of the most prolific K-pop groups of the 4th generation making moves in the festival.

These wild speculations place aespa on the Sahara stage, where BLACKPINK performed for their now legendary 2019 set. Meanwhile, NewJeans might command the main stage, where aespa previously performed in 2022. While this sounds like a K-pop stan’s dream come true, there’s a little catch—this “leak” features a not-so-subtle URL, “coachella2025fakesettimes,” so take this info with a grain of salt.

While the original poster of the “leak” admits that the source is shaky, it would not be a surprise if Coachella decided to include K-pop headliners in their lineup! The event has embraced the genre with open arms, especially with contributions by BLACKPINK, ATEEZ, and LE SSERAFIM. If NewJeans and aespa do hit the lineup, this could be another win for the global takeover of K-pop.

Let’s keep our eyes peeled, our fingers crossed and our wallets ready for 2025 Coachella!
