BTS’ Suga’s DUI investigation has become a trending topic worldwide because of the massive attention from the South Korean media. The K-Netizensa are now questioning if the harassment is still considered legal in the country.
On August 23, KST, the idol appeared at the Yongsan Police station for questioning regarding his recent drunk-driving incident. Hours before Suga’s appearance, major news outlets were seen outside the precinct building and some reported they even followed the idol to the main gate, questioning his actions.
The K-Netizens took over social media to ask if the paparazzi and South Korean media outlet’s harassment was allowed in the Police Department in the first place. On top of that, Many of them also pointed out that Suga had to walk through a media lineup, which is legally prohibited under South Korean law.
Ultimately, BTS Suga’s DUI investigation is getting out of control because of the outrage of the K-Netizens towards the South Korean media outlets. There are no further reports if Suga must attend to another questioning in the days to come, but the K-Netizens expect he can be treated better by the major news outlets.
