Many fans were surprised by the most recent and forceful statement made by the pop singer Taylor Swift after finishing The Eras Tour in Europe, where she explains the situation that occurred in Vienna that prevented the realization of the scheduled concerts.
Through Instagram, the pop star confessed, “Having our Vienna shows cancelled was devastating” and added, “The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear, and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many people had planned on coming to those shows“.
This after Austria’s intelligence chief, Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, claimed that a young man had planned an attack for the event; “he wanted to carry out the attack using explosives and cutting and stabbing weapons“. After having thwarted the attack, Swift expressed her gratitude to the authorities: “Thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives“.
