According to the statements of the former royal assistant to Queen Elizabeth II, the late monarch would have had a good relationship with former President of the United States Donald Trump and even considered his family as ‘gracious and wonderful’.
The Republican Trump had the opportunity to visit the United Kingdom twice during his presidential term in the United States; in his last trip, he even stayed at Buckingham Palace with his wife and four of his five children, which allowed him to share behind closed doors with the late monarch.
The former assistant to the queen revealed to The Post, “I spoke to the queen subsequently after the State visit, and other members of the royal household, and she told me she found them (the Trumps) to be really gracious and wonderful guests to have in the palace“, making clear Elizabeth’s position regarding the former president.
This statement confirms what Trump said, who revealed, “Have such a great relationship, and we were laughing and having fun. And her people said she hasn’t had so much fun in 25 years“, assuring that his visit to Buckingham was successful and he managed to hit it off with Queen Elizabeth II.
