Kit Harington reveals why his ‘Game of Thrones’ character Jon Snow’s spin-off was scrapped

In a recent interview for GQ, the renowned British actor, Kit Harington, reveals why the spin-off of Jon Snow, his character from the hit HBO series ‘Game of Thrones‘ in which he worked most of his life, was cancelled.

Jon Snow became one of the most popular characters of the ‘Game of Thrones’ saga. That’s why, as soon as the series came to an end, HBO proposed to Harington to make a spin-off focused on him, and although at first the actor did not agree with the passage of time, he was attracted to the idea.

After several years of ideas, story creation, content planning, etc., the result was not satisfactory, so Harington said, “I think if we push this any further and keep developing it we could end up with something that’s not good“.

Additionally, the actor claims that he was very exhausted, and this was one of the problems of the end of GOT: “I look at pictures of me in that final season and I look exhausted. I look spent. I didn’t have another season in me“. Since he didn’t want the same thing to happen in the Jon Snow spin-off, they decided to put an end to the idea.
