BTS’ Suga owns all the international headlines because of his drunk driving incident last week. The idol and his music agency, BigHit Music publicly apologized to the K-Netizens for his behavior. However, the consequences might be worse than expected.
The superstar was found lying on the ground in the Yongsan district of Seoul on 6 August after an apparent accident. Ultimately, Suga’s breathalyzer test revealed his blood alcohol levels surpassed 7 times the stipulated limits.
The breathalyzer test conducted on the day of the accident relieved his blood concentration was 0.227&. Under South Korean traffic laws, drunk drivers with a blood alcohol level of 0.2% or higher can receive a fine between $14,000 or a prison sentence of two to five years.
The Yongsan district is committed to justice, particularly after BTS’ Suga and BigHit Music lied about the amount of beer Suga consumed before the accident. There’s no further information on what’s next for the unfortunate situation.
