BTS’ Suga and BigHit Music are in the eye of the storm because of the recent drunk-driving incident. The idol and his music agency had to recognize they lied to K-Netizens about the footage released by DongA Ilbo.
On August 14, DongA Ilbo published fresh CCTV footage to refute earlier JTBC releases. In the video, which was taken on August 6, at 11:10 PM, Suga is seen operating an electric seated scooter before tumbling while trying to turn left.
Police officers from a nearby patrol unit found Suga after his fall at the main gate of the Nine One Hannam apartment complex. Ultimately, BigHit Music had to confirm the man in this footage is indeed Suga.
The new CCTV footage shows BTS’ Suga returning home along the sidewalk beneath the Nine One Hannam wall, in the opposite direction from the JTBC footage. It is expected new footage and evidence will play against the idol who might be facing a fine or a sentence in prison.
