A video recently went viral where Prince William shocked everyone by placing his hand on Kate Middleton‘s thigh in a royal appearance for their significant interview in 2010 before getting married.

The clip was posted on the social network TikTok and shows a part of the couple’s engagement interview where the now Princess of Wales is asked, ‘How does it feel to know that she will be part of the working members of the royal family?’ Evidently, evidently by making one of her first public appearances, she was nervous.

“It’s obviously nerve-wracking because I don’t know what I’m doing—I sort of don’t know the ropes really“, replied Kate Middleton with a nervous smile, to which Prince William continued confidently, “She’ll do really well“, while patting her thigh, showing his support for his fiancée.
