During the 2024 Expo D23, the renowned artist Miley Cyrus tears amid an emotional speech as she is named the youngest Disney legend after her successful career as a singer and the star of the emblematic TV series ‘Hannah Montana‘.

On August 11th, the 31-year-old singer made history by becoming the youngest person to receive the honor of Disney Legend, which is given to “those whose talent and achievement have earned them an enduring place in our history“, according to Bob Iger, the Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company.

When she stood on the stage, she started saying she wrote speeches for that night: “one long, [for] the badass I’m supposed to be, and one short, if I get scared“. Later she confessed, “A little bit of everything has changed, … but at the same time, nothing has changed at all“, and continued, “I stand here still proud to have been Hannah Montana“.

Miley Cyrus also expressed her gratitude for this project, saying, “In so many ways, his award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her amazing loyal fans, and to everyone who has made my dream a reality. To quote the legend herself, ‘This is the life’“, which surely made all fans so emotive, nostalgic, and proud of her.
