BTSSuga is still in the eye of the storm. The idol is facing several consequences regarding his DUI, including the rejection and outrage from the K-Netizens and some fans. The Yongsan Police station made a series of declarations that are under a negative light for the beloved idol.

The police stated the electric scooter driven by Suga is not considered a “personal mobility device” but a vehicle. A personal mobility device is defined as a device with a maximum speed of 25 km per hour (15.53 mph) and weight under 30kg. However, Suga’s scooter is classified as a motorized bicycle or electric scooter, which is considered the same as operating a car.

On top of that, Suga’s alcohol blood levels were 7 times higher than the legal limit, making him face a fine of 5 million won ($3,664 USD) to 10 million won ($7,329 USD) or a prison sentence of 1 to 2 years. Ultimately, the Yonsan Police stated that he can be subject to criminal punishment for driving under the influence.

It was also reported that BTS’ Suga is not going to receive any additional punishment from the military as he is enlisted in the South Korean military. Only time will tell what consequences Suga must face in order to amend his unconscious actions.
