King Charles III is full of surprises and particularities on his daily basis. Queen Camilla Parker’s sister, Annabel Elliot, made a series of revelations in a recent book based on her experiences assisting to refurbish the Balmoral Estate in Scotland.
Elliot revealed that the monarch of the United Kingdom doesn’t sleep with a duvet. The Queen’s sisters’ comments led to a conversation between Emmy Griffiths and Emily Nash on “A Right Royal Podcast,” from HELLO!
“Annabel Elliot did once reveal in an interview that he doesn’t like duvets. “I’m assuming he’s a traditional sheets and blankets kind of guy.”
Emily added that the King is reportedly not fond of things being very heated preferring to keep the Royal residences “on the chilly side.” However, Annabel also revealed that there exists a constant battle between the King and the Queen over keeping the suites cold.
“He will have opened a window. She will creep in behind and shut it. So there’s a lot of: ‘Oh, darling, you shut the window.’ ‘Yes, I have, because we’re all freezing.’ So a lot of banter goes on.”
