On Saturday, August 3, we reported that Zac Efron had been taken to the hospital after a swimming pool incident in Ibiza, Spain. The Mirror and Daily Mail revealed that the “High School Musical” star was found by two staff members who pulled him from the water in the villa where he was staying on Friday, August 2.

After receiving medical attention at the hospital, a Zac Efron representative confirmed that the incident was โ€œminorโ€ and that he had been admitted to the hospital to prevent any more complications. While the actor was released on Saturday August 3 in the morning, the details behind his hospitalization remained in the dark, that’s until now.

According to sources close to Zac Efron, the incident took place as he was diving into the water deeply. However, the “Baywatch” protagonist hit the bottom of the pool and ingested water into his lungs. Once in the hospital, the actor took a chest x-ray to ensure the water had exited his lungs. Since the minor incident, he has posted a picture of himself exercising, proving that he went quickly back to normal.
