According to experts, it is very clear what the real reason is because King Charles III refuses to abdicate his title despite his cancer, and the reason apparently comes from his selfless personality that seeks the best for his family at all times, certainly a touching cause.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond gave a statement to OK! magazine where she assures that the monarch will not abdicate the throne as well as Queen Margaret of Denmark, mainly because “William, with three young children, would not welcome the extra responsibility of kingship just yet“.

King Charles III is aware of Prince William’s desire to spend time with his family, especially during his children’s infancy and Kate Middleton’s cancer treatment, which is why the king will not relinquish his title, as doing so would give new responsibilities to the heir and his children.

This lets us know that regardless of his cancer diagnosis, the king will continue his reign until he becomes physically or mentally incapacitated, as he intends his grandchildren to enjoy being free of royal duties, at least until they turn 20 years old, or at least until George, the next heir to the British throne.
