Prince William’s long-standing feud with Queen Camilla Parker intensified in the last couple of months because of the Prince’s decisions. Although Prince Harry and William implored King Charles III not to marry Camilla, he made it anyway and their relationship stumbled a lot.
The Prince of Wales’ recent move to remove Queen Camilla Parker’s sister, Annabel Elliot from the royal payroll was the last nail in the coffin. The Daily Beast reported that since Prince William is in charge of he Dunchy of Cornwall, things are being handled different since he wasn’t a fan of the favoritism, which began shortly after King Charles III married to the now-Queen in 2005.
One insider from Buckingham Palace also highlighted that Prince William doesn’t want to be involved with Queen Camilla Parker’s family. Ultimately, Prince William is conserving his distance from the family and increasing the rift with the Queen.
“This notable decision by William might be his way of keeping “the entire Parker Bowles family at arm’s length.” He is reportedly not close with his stepbrother Tom nor his stepsister Laura. There’s a feeling that Camilla’s family is profiting from their royal-adjacent life.”
