After ascending to the throne, the inflows of money and net worth have only increased, as it was announced that this is what King Charles III earns annually since he inherited this property valued at one billion dollars for being the monarch of the United Kingdom.
The property in question is the Duchy of Lancaster, which, according to what is described on its website, is a “former body responsible for managing a portfolio of land, property and financial investments” and also ensures that “the main objective of the Duchy is to generate income for the Sovereign as Duke of Lancaster“.
Basically, this duchy is in charge of generating money for the current monarch, which means that the profits it provides will be directly received by King Charles III, as in the previous year it generated a total of £ 27.4 million (48.7 million dollars) for the benefit of the head of state.
Until now, the monarch has done an excellent job of managing the profits, as since acquiring the property it has increased its net asset value by 1 percent and profits grew by 4.5 percent over the previous year.
