Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship has gone through a lot since they got married. From several rumors of Prince William’s affair with Rose Hanbury, to Kate’s cancer diagnosis, the couple has remained strong.
However, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ relationship hasn’t always been strong. The royal author, Robert Jobson, wanted to look back at the pair’s romance after they graduated from the University of St. Andrews in 200 in his new biography, “Catherine, The Princess of Wales.”
Prince William canceled New Year’s plans in 2007, indiciating to Kate Middleton the sense that something was wrong. Soona after, the Prince of Wales called his now-wife to break up, saying that they both needed spaced to find their own way because they weren’t in the same page.
“In an emotionally charged 30-minute conversation, they both acknowledged they were on ‘different pages. It was a devastating blow to Catherine, who felt doubly let down at being dumped over the phone.”
Ultimately, Prince William had “second thoughts” and reunited with Kate Middleton at a “Freakin-Naughty” themed costume party thrown by Sam Waley-Cohen. Fortunately, they solved their differences and the rest is history at this point.
