Thanks to the new annual report, it has been confirmed that Prince William, in his role as the Prince of Wales, fires Queen Camilla’s sister after 20 years of service at the Duchy of Cournalles as an interior designer of the property, leaving the king’s sister-in-law without a job.
After his official wedding to Camilla, the monarch, who was then Prince of Wales, decided to hire his sister-in-law, Annabel Elliot, under the position of interior designer for Cornwall, and all payments that were issued to the designer were made under the strict supervision of Charles III himself until his ascension to the throne in 2022.
Now that Prince William has acquired the title of Wales, he has decided to implement certain changes in the Duchy of Cornwall, so he has decided not to rehire Anabell. On July 24th, the Telegraph announced, “Sources confirmed that Prince William would no longer employ Ms. Elliot, although it was no reflection on her work“.
This statement makes it clear that the intention of not renewing the contract of Queen Camilla’s sister is not a matter of poor performance or lack of professionalism; simply that her work was finished, so there was no reason to hire her for a new period. Besides, the new staff is perfectly qualified to perform such tasks.
