King Charles III has been known for his interest in preserving the planet and once again demonstrates his commitment to the environment, as it was recently confirmed that he is installing solar panels at Windsor Castle as part of his green proposal.
Sir Michael Stevens, Keeper of the Privy Purse, revealed: “Out went the leaking lead roof and in came the Castle’s first solar panels” and also assured that these actions are “inspired by His Majesty’s leadership in this sphere“, which has made royal supporters proud.
In his first year as monarch, King Charles III has made significant changes to the palace. In addition to the solar panels, energy-saving gas lamps will also be installed, with the intention of instilling a more environmentally friendly policy throughout the United Kingdom.
There is no doubt that the king is committed to his cause, as Stevens also assured: “small steps, but part of a much wider plan to make a significant impact on our carbon emissions in the years ahead“, so it is possible that in the near future we will continue to see changes made by the monarch in favor of environmental welfare.
