BTS’ Jimin is back with his second solo mini-album release, “Muse,” and guess what? Billboard is loving every bit of it. Despite his current military service, Jimin’s new collection of bops is a testament to his creative growth and musical evolution, exploring romance in all its glorious facets.
According to Billboard, “Muse” is a stark contrast to the dark themes of his debut solo album, “FACE,” diving deep into Jimin’s journey to find true inspiration and love. This fresh EP showcases the BTS’ member versatility, blending R&B grooves, light hip-hop, Latin, and Afrobeat influences throughout seven tracks.
The opening track, “Rebirth (Intro),” sets the tone for the album, highlighting self-improvement through the lens of romance. Billboard particularly praised “Who,” Jimin’s first solo English single, for its exploration of love. Billboard’s ranking of the songs from “Muse” showcases the diversity and depth of his new work. This is how they ranked the tracks:
7. “Interlude: Showtime”
6. “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” feat. Loco.
5. “Rebirth (Intro).”
4. “Closer Than This.”
3. “Slow Dance.” feat. Sofia Carson
2. “Be Mine.”
1. “Who.”
Billboard’s verdict? Jimin’s “Muse” is a stunning exploration of love and self-discovery, cementing his place as a genre-less artist.
