According to statements by historian Robert Hardman, King Charles III is currently ‘extremely sad‘ about the dispute with Harry and Meghan, who since his departure in 2020 from the British monarchy have started a media war with statements against the crown.
Hardman, who is also the author of the book ‘Charles III: New King, New Court. The Inside Story‘ said for Mirror: “Of course, the king is extremely sad about Harry and Meghan, but there is a sense of exasperation that he has done what he can“, assuring that the monarch tried to stop the conflicts.
He later added, “Now he is king, there are many more things to think about“, letting it be known that the responsibilities for King Charles III have increased significantly, so he cannot waste his time and energy dealing with the childish attitudes of his son Harry and his wife Meghan.
The monarch’s stance on the conflict with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has changed following his cancer diagnosis, Hardman explained: “He has tried listening. Now he just says, ‘I don’t want to know what the problem is. I’m just getting on with my life’“, implying that he will now just try to ignore them.
