Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle go viral on TikTok with a Charli XCX song

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are making huge TikTok moves again! This time, the pair went viral on the platform after user @kittywaless decided to make an edit with both the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex. The clip in question shows different fragments of both mothers in different royal engagements, with Charli XCX‘s song “Girl, so confusing” as its soundtrack.

Shortly after being posted, followers started reacting and the TikTok video now has more than 250K likes. The reason? It looks like the song lyrics apply to both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle a little bit too well! In the track, Charli XCX describes the confusing relationship she has with one of her female friends, saying:

“Yeah, I don’t know if you like me/Sometimes I think you might hate me/Sometimes I think I might hate you/Maybe you just wanna be me/You always say, “Let’s go out”/So we go eat at a restaurant/Sometimes it feels a bit awkward/’Cause we don’t have much in common.”

The Charli XCX song was originally speculated to be about singer Lorde, who was compared to her at the beginning of their careers. This year, the rumors were confirmed and Lorde made another version, telling her part of the story. “Let’s work it out on the remix,” Lorde says in the track.

This song, straight out of Charli XCX’s most recent album, “Brat,” seems to fit into the Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle beef. Ever since the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry left the royal family, they have drifted apart from Buckingham Palace, with no signs of “working it out on the remix” anytime soon.
