According to the opinion of royal experts, it is evident that during their relationship, King Charles III was jealous of the popularity that Princess Diana achieved, even after the divorce, but is now proud of his new wife, Queen Camilla.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told The Mirror, “I think that whereas Charles was rather jealous of Diana’s success, he could not be more proud of Camilla, who has come to this role late in life and without the safety net of an adoring public“, adding, “These difficult few months will have made his love even deeper“.

The popularity of the late princess completely overshadowed King Charles III, as well as complicating Queen Camilla’s path, as royal sympathizers were disgusted with her for getting involved in Diana’s marriage, and even royal sympathizers called her self-serving and manipulative.

The current Queen’s popularity over the years has been increasing, but these last seven months after replacing the king to deal with his disease, she has won the affection of supporters and the King’s pride for how she has handled every engagement; even Bond said, “I think she might have surprised herself by enjoying hard work as much as she seems to be doing“.
