Kim Kardashian recently opened up about a personal family matter, revealing that one of the children she shares with Kanye West has been diagnosed with vitiligo, a rare condition causing skin discoloration.
The reality TV star got candid during a chat on the SHE MD podcast, sharing that her son inherited vitiligo from her, while she battles psoriasis, a different skin condition. “Psoriasis came from my mom, went to me,” Kim explained, “and then I passed it on in a different form to my son, who has vitiligo.”

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West share sons Saint, and Psalm, with Psalm being the one affected. The vitiligo disease leads to skin color loss with patchy areas. Meanwhile, the entrepreneur’s condition causes scaly, inflamed skin. Despite the difficulties, the socialité remains positive:
“Mine came on when I turned 30,” Kim said. “We were at my mom’s house, and she noticed my legs and said, ‘Oh my god, you have psoriasis.'”
While vitiligo is a rare skin disease, Kim Kardashian’s son is in company with celebrities like Michael Jackson and Winnie Harlow, who also were diagnosed with vitiligo. At the moment, Kanye West has not commented on his son’s health condition publicly.
