After a long time, it has been confirmed that Camilla‘s stylist relaxes the restrictions for wearing similar colors to the Queen’s attire when they are in public events, since it is the monarch who must stand out at all times.
As the highest rank in the British monarchy for a woman, the wife of King Charles III has the privilege of choosing her attire before all others, and as colors could not be repeated, the choices were becoming increasingly limited for lower-ranking royals.
However, Jacqui Meakin, Camilla’s stylist, having learned that both Kate Middleton and Sophie of Edinburgh love the same shade of blue as the Queen, has been more flexible with the rules, allowing them to wear the same color to a public event as long as they are different shades.
Even Meghan Markle said in her Netflix documentary, “I rarely wore colors most of the time I spent in the UK. As far as I know, you can never wear the same color as her majesty if there’s a group engagement, but you also shouldn’t wear the same as another senior member of the family“.
