(G)I-DLE’s Soyeon recently spilled some serious tea about her salary, saying that she can make up to $700,000 in a stellar month. Hosting an episode of YouTube’s Pixid series “Country Kitchen Dream“, the (G)I-DLE member was joined by rapper Lee Young-ji to have an interview.
During their chit-chat, Lee mentioned her income’s “extreme ups and downs,” which Soyeon echoed, revealing that in an exceptionally good month, she has been paid up to KRW1 billion (approximately $720,000). However, she also confessed that there are times when she earns as little as $100.
But you should never be surprised about the idol’s good salary months, especially considering she’s had an important role when co-writing and producing most of (G)I-DLE’s hits. Besides creating tracks for her group, she’s also made music for other K-pop acts like CLC and Apink’s Namjoo.
Most recently, (G)I-DLE, the group Soyeon leads, dropped the music video for their latest single “Klaxon” from their new mini-album ‘”I Sway.” This follows their hit second studio album “2,” which had bops like “Super Lady” and “Fate.”
