In recent days, the renowned Billboard media outlet faced backlash for an ‘unprofessional‘ tweet about BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Jennie, which generated a fandom battle in the comments section, disparaging the artists even when they are part of the same K-Pop group.
On July 9th, the Twitter account of the media outlet decided to share and combine these news of the two idols. While Lisa was praised for announcing her performance at the Global Citizen Festival, Jennie posted an apology for vaping indoors in Capri.
Although these two were big news for the entertainment industry, it was evident that combining them was not the best idea, as many fans use that opportunity to insult the idols, pointing out Jennie’s influence and Lisa’s achivement to discredit the other.
Well that check must be directly dropping money on their ass tonight

However, some people more join to criticize Billboard for creating this battle with comments like “that headline was unnecessary“, “the fact this is coming from a ‘professionals’.. i expected better than this all time low headline“, “using blackpink for clout is embarrassing when you’re BILLBOARD“, “the headline is so fucking unprofessional“.
