Ariana Grande has had quite a busy year! From dropping her first album in 4 years, “Eternal Sunshine” and promoting her upcoming musical film “Wicked,” it’s clear the artist has a packed agenda. And while fans are loving her imminent return to the spotlight, it looks like she is prioritizing her acting career over music.
The reason? On July 11th, she announced that she would temporarily stop posting things that are not related to her movie. Yes, you read that right! The “Into You” singer took to her Instagram account to tell fans that “Wicked” will be the main thing for now, scrapping the plans of a deluxe edition for “Eternal Sunshine” and a tour.
Ariana Grande announces she’s taking a break from anything unrelated to ‘Wicked’ in new Instagram story:

“I have decided to put a temporary pin in all things that are not Wicked for now […] see you so soon..”
This sudden announcement comes hot on the heels of Ariana Grande dropping the official music video for “The Boy Is Mine” on June 7, followed by the remix of this track with singers Brandy and Monica on June 20. Instead, the focus will shift to her musical film, “Wicked,” where the artist is set to play Glinda. The film will premiere on November 22 this year.
