Anna Wintour’s opinion on Meghan Markle resurfaces online

Anna Wintour has been popularly known for giving harsh opinions on several Hollywood stars. However, the fashion icon also knows when to praise someone for their actions or their fashion choices, and Meghan Markle fortunately was part of this selected group.

In January 2019, The Vogue editor-in-chief spoke out to defend the Duchess of Sussex at a critical time for the royal during the constant and harsh tracks from the British media outlets in 2018. Anna shares her opinion during an “Ask Anna” feature on the magazine’s website.

“I read somewhere that there were members of the royal household that were confused and upset that she woke up so early, at 5 am. She’s a normal Californian girl. Gets up early does yoga and meditates, and also sends a lot of text messages. I mean, what do they expect, that she was gonna send messages via pigeon? So, I think she’s amazing, and the royal wedding had the whole world watching, and I think that her choice was brilliant.”

Anna Wintour defended Meghan Markle amid the controversy with the Royal Family. The sweet comments towards the Duchess of Sussex resurfaced online because of a TikTok which already exceeds 420.000 views, making Markle shine once more.
