The monarch attended the Princess of Girona Awards wearing a dress from the Australian firm ‘Aje’ with a monochromatic plain cut, which she rented from the specialized company Lend the Label. In this way, she shows her support for ‘circular fashion‘, which is based on giving a second life to existing garments.
But it was the future queen Kate Middleton who imparted this new fashion to royalty since, in 2022, she attended a gala in Boston with a dress she rented from the HURR platform, demonstrating her interest in sustainability and breaking the stereotype that neither princesses nor queens used second-hand garments.
While Queen Letizia is setting the same great example for her country as the Princess of Wales did, her followers were also excited to note that the Queen of Spain was wearing high heels, which could mean that she has finally recovered from her foot injury that only allowed her to wear flat footwear or sneakers.
