The Royal Family is used to having strange rules for their members, but some are just nonsense for the royal followers. Recently, it was reported that Queen Camilla Parker imposed a strict rule on Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and Kate Middleton on their fashion choices.
A royal insider told the Daily Express that the Queen’s dresser, Jacqui Meakin, was told not to wear blue on Kate Middleton and Sophie’s royal engagements. The Queen refused to be outshined by any woman inside the royal family, which became an uncanny demand for almost everyone.
“The Queen is now able to choose her outfits before all the other women in the Royal Family. It’s part of the royal pecking order and that includes the clothes and colour. Her Majesty’s favourite colour is blue and so is Kate’s. Sophie is also quite fond of it.”
The only way that the three royal ladies can wear blue is if only are different shades of the color. The request by Queen Camilla Parker had backlash since the royal followers wanted Kate Middleton and Sophie to express their fashion choices regardless of the color.
