Previously, we told you about Taylor Swift‘s producer, Jack Antonoff, and his comments during an interview on the TODAY show. The music creator had a brief chat with the hosts where he gave a peek at his songwriting music process. However, things took a sour turn when he made some remarks that ignited a fan war between the Swifties and Billie Eilish stans:
Jack Antonoff is under fire for comments that were perceived as shade towards Billie Eilish and her song “Lunch”:
"It’s hard to write unless you’re really compelled. And sometimes what compels you is way more serious things. I never feel like… You don’t hear a lot of great… pic.twitter.com/1QkuRKLpvH

“It’s hard to write unless you’re really compelled. And sometimes what compels you is way more serious things. I never feel like… You don’t hear a lot of great songs about like, one’s lunch order.”
The comment was immediately perceived as shade at Billie Eilish, since she has a song titled “LUNCH” in her third studio album, “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT.” Moreover, both the 22-year-old artist and Taylor Swift had a fierce chart battle in May, in which Taylor’s album “The Tortured Poets Department” (produced by Jack Antonoff) won on the No.1 spot.
As a result, Billie Eilish fans have decided to defend their idol, criticizing Jack Antonoff for his remarks. In contrast, Swifties have mostly said these comments have nothing to do with the “LUNCH” singer. As the drama continues unfolding on social media, let us know what your take is on this fan war.
