According to Sky’s royal correspondent, Rhiannon Mills, Prince William was caught talking about Princess Anne‘s accident even though they were in a public engagement, as they were in the middle of a royal event involving the Emperor of Japan.
On the latest episode of A Right Royal Podcast, Rhiannon revealed to hosts Andrea Caamano, Emmy Griffiths, and HELLO! royal editor Emily Nash a video of the King showing an important collection to the Japanese ambassador and, in the background, Prince William talking to the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
Despite not being completely sure what the Prince of Wales was talking about with his relatives, Mills said, “all of a sudden, Prince William almost whacked himself in the face, and I thought, ‘Oh, hang on, they were talking about Anne’. Now, look, I haven’t had it confirmed, but it was literally the day after. It looked pretty much like they were talking about it“.
The clear signs Prince William made gave away that he was talking about the accident of his aunt, Princess Anne, who suffered a concussion after receiving a severe impact to the head, leaving her hospitalized for five days shortly before this meeting with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
