Prince Harry‘s nanny had some funny throwback claims about the royal’s fiery baby days! According to former royal courtier Lady Anne Glenconner, the Duke of Sussex was described as “born angry” by his first baby nanny. Who would’ve thought the Prince could have flipping hot stories from his earliest days?
In a juicy interview with ex-Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown, Glenconner, who served as Princess Margaret’s right-hand lady for over three decades, spilled the royal tea. She retold how Barbara Barnes, the nanny who once looked after her own kids before joining the royal circle, was not one to keep quiet about her impressions of baby Harry.
Barnes, who cared for the then Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s kiddos from 1982 to 1987, was all about loving Prince William. But guess what? She had a totally different vibe with Prince Harry. Glenconner shared that “Barbara adored Prince William,” but here’s when things get juicy about baby Sussex:
“Harry, I think, was a bit more difficult when he was small. He was born angry.”

Lady Anne Glenconner is still tight with the royal family, and even scored an invite to King Charles and Queen Camilla’s coronation in 2023. Despite the royal drama, she revealed that she hasn’t read Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir, “Spare.” It looks like Glenconner is not about that royal gossip, at least not the gossip from the Duke of Sussex.
