Many have disagreed with Prince Harry for his attitude towards his family, but in recent months he has been heavily criticized for not supporting Kate Middleton more amid her cancer diagnosis, as they used to have a very close relationship.
According to royal biographer Emily Andrews, “Now, she’s faced with her darkest days. Where has Harry been?” and added, “What has kept her going are her family and friends rallying ’round. Though, sadly, the same can’t be said for her brother-in-law, who she was once close to“.
The relationship between Prince Harry and his sister-in-law Kate Middleton was quite special before all the conflicts; even the Duke of Sussex came to refer to her as the “sister I never had, but always wanted“, making it clear how important the Princess of Wales was in the life of her brother-in-law.
For Andrews, those days seem to have been forgotten, and she said, “With his new life in the U.S., high-profile TV appearances, and a scathing book to boot, it is unlikely that Harry’s shoulder will be the one Kate has sought to cry on, instead, the wedge appears to be even larger, with no sign of a bridge to connect the pair“.
