Hitting the 1 billion mark stream on Spotify is not easy, but that’s something that BTS’ Jungkook and Jimin, and BLACPINK’s Jennie and Lisa have no trouble getting. So far, these four names have been the only K-pop acts to ever reach this milestone (and then surpass it) on the streaming platform, underlining their growing popularity and their staying power among listeners.

For that reason, we’re going to make a brief breakdown of each artist’s discography, commenting on the highlights that have made them join Spotify’s 1 billion streams club, and why they’re surpassing it.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa:

Much like her group, Lisa has a very short discography and has released 3 singles so far. The BLACKPINK member first obtained more than 1 billion streams with “MONEY” in April 2023, making her the first and only Thai artist to reach these numbers. Most recently, she dropped her single “ROCKSTAR,” which will most likely follow the same streaming trend.

BTS’ Jimin:

Jimin is currently serving his country in the military and is expected to be discharged by mid-2025. However, that hasn’t stopped him from releasing music and leaving fans eager for more. Last year, he released his EP “FACE,” which became the quickest K-pop release to surpass one billion streams in the platform, a record he still holds.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie:

Jennie does not have an extensive discography and only has two official solo singles. Surprisingly, the song she recorded with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, “One of the Girls,” surpassed one billion streams on the platform. The track was made for HBO’s “The Idol” and it quickly became a fan favorite.

BTS’ Jungkook:

Like his bandmate, Jimin, Jungkook is also completing his military service and is expected to be discharged by mid-2025. He currently has one studio album, “GOLDEN,” which surpassed 3 billion streams on Spotify. By February this year, JK had already amassed more than 5 billion streams on the platform.
