The people’s princess, as she was known, was born on July 1, 1961, and on this day but 2024, many British media remembered how Princess Diana spent her last birthday, which was celebrated 2 months before her tragic car accident that ended her life.
The late Princess of Wales celebrated her last birthday at a gala held in honor of the centenary of the Tate Gallery in London, making a stunning appearance in a gift from designer Jacques Azagury: a black dress with bowls, which she accessorized with a sparkling green gemstone choker.
Her younger brother, Charles, confessed to People, “Diana had a genius for people“, as the princess took a moment out of her special day to greet followers waiting outside to congratulate her and give her the birthday gifts they had brought with much love.
Charles also assured, Princess Diana “could make any person, whether they were the grandest or the most humble feel totally at ease in her company“, making it evident the reason why she was called the people’s princess and was so loved by all.
