Wimbledon officials are hoping Kate Middleton could appear during the tournament

Kate Middleton’s absence during almost every royal event has been notorious in the last couple of months. Currently, the Princess is undergoing preventive chemotherapy for an unspecified form of cancer. However, she made a major comeback during the Trooping the Colour event, and royal followers expect to see her in a few more events this summer.

The Princess of Wales is widely popular for loving sports, particularly Tennis, for which she has become a club’s patron and has attended a couple of matches during the last year. Wimbledon officials told to Telegraph Sport they are hoping to see her in the tournament.

“We’re hopeful that the Princess of Wales will be able to present the trophies as the Club’s patron, but her health and recovery is the priority.”

Kate Middleton might appear during the Wimbledon tournament in case she feels healthy enough to do so. Several famous faces are on the Royal Box list for day one, including David Beckham who has been close to the Royal Family for a while now.
