A new video has been shared where Prince Harry can be seen opening his heart during a new emotional interview with Nikki Scott, the founder of Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity that helps military families cope with the loss of a loved one.
Prince Harry lost his mother, Princess Diana, when he was just 12 years old and was vulnerable when he told Nikki, “You convince yourself that the person you’ve lost wants you, or you need, to be sad for as long as possible, to prove to them that they’re missed“, and continued, “But then there’s this realisation (that) no they must want me to be happy“.
This makes Mrs. Scott recall the moment she told her son that his father had passed away and told the Duke, “I took him up and sat him on the bed and I said, ‘Kai, do you remember where Daddy was?’ and he said, ‘yeah, Afghan’, and I said, ‘something really bad has happened and the baddies (because he used to play Army) have hurt dad and he’s died’“.
Later, the mother of two confessed, “It was the worst“. Harry could empathize with the story as he served 10 years in the military, was present in battles in Afghanistan, and, like Nikki’s son, lost a close family member at a very young age.
