BLACKPINK fans, it’s time to wave your lightsticks! We’re all on the edge of our seats waiting for Lisa to drop her highly anticipated single and music video to “ROCKSTAR.” This track will be her first to be released under her newly funded company LLOUD in partnership with American label RCA. But little did we know that the BLACKPINK member paid Thai shop owners to help her shoot her video.

Yes, you read that right! It turns out the “MONEY” hitmaker sent their way 20,000 Baht (that’s around 530 dollars) so they could close their shops earlier. The reason? She needed the streets totally shut down for the “ROCKSTAR” music video shoot. In exchange, the singer displayed her awareness and gave the Yaowarat Road store owners compensation.
Now, it’s time to mark your calendars: “ROCKSTAR” will be officially dropped on June 27th at 8:00 p.m. ET for Western audiences. Meanwhile, the song and music video will be available on June 28th at 7:00 p.m. ICT for audiences in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. Visit https://www.lalisaofficial.com/ for official updates.
