BTS proved to the whole world that they could succeed as a group or as soloists, and j-hope wasn’t the exception to his great rule. The idol dabbed into the American market just like some of his fellow members and did it flawlessly as he had already reached a new milestone for his song, “Chicken Noodle Soup” featuring Becky G.
On June 20, a reliable source on “X” (Formerly known as Twitter) Chart Data, reported that the idol’s solo track surpassed 500,000 units in the United States. The units are a measurement that combines traditional album sales with streaming and digital download counts.
“Chicken Noodle Soup” was released in September 2019, and initially was available for free on Soundcloud, which makes this new achievement truly special for j-hope and his fans, better known as ARMY.
BTS’ j-hope’s song reached the No. 81 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, the No. 55 on the Canadian Billboard Hot 100, and No. 82 on the U.K. Official Single charts, making him chart in the most popular list worldwide. You can celebrate this new achievement by watching the music video below:
