Justin Timberlake was recently arrested for DWI in The Hamptons after a night out with friends. The pop star claimed he had just “one martini” before being detained, but he failed sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving on June 18th. In charge of the arrest was Michael Arkinson, an assertive Gen Z police officer, who is three months into his job.
Despite his rookie status, Michael Arkinson has gained a reputation among Hampton residents for his strict law enforcement. He graduated from the police academy in 2022 and was promoted to a full-time officer job in Sag Harbor, after working as a part-time traffic control officer while in high school.
Funny enough, the 24-year-old officer had not even been born when Justin Timberlake rose to fame with NSYNC and was way too young during the singer’s solo career peak. So, as “The Cry Me A River” hitmaker was being detained, he claimed the arrest would “ruin” his upcoming tour. The cop cluelessly responded with “What tour?” That’s some impartial commitment to law enforcement!
Cop who arrested Justin Timberlake reportedly didn't know who he was:
“Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’” pic.twitter.com/k27b9MQ83n
