A few moments ago, it was shared the sad news that ‘The Hunger Games‘ actor Donald Sutherland has passed away at the age of 88, leaving a void in the entertainment industry after being one of the most versatile movie legends in history.
The honorary Oscar winner worked on prestigious projects such as ‘The Dirty Dozen‘, ‘MASH‘, ‘Klute to Animal House‘, ‘Ordinary People‘, ‘Pride & Prejudice‘, and ‘The Hunger Games’; he even received an Emmy for his interpretation in ‘Citizen X‘.
Donald Sutherland, born on July 17th, 1935, left a mark on the industry with his iconic roles and talent over the years that has impacted more than one generation of both viewers and actors and directors who worked with him and who will remember him.
The late Canadian son’s company, CAA Media Finance Roeg Sutherland confirmed the sad news after battling with an illness for years. The actor is survived by his wife Francine Racette; sons Roeg, Rossif, Angus, and Kiefer; daughter Rachel; and four grandchildren. The family will hold a private celebration in honor of his life.
