Scooter Braun sparks outrage among TXT and SEVENTEEN fans

Former manager Scooter Braun, known for working with names such as Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Usher, has recently announced his retirement from managing artists in the Western music scene. Braun, who’s currently the CEO of HYBE America, announced his intention to step back from music management to focus on family and growing with his role as CEO at HYBE America. And guess what? K-pop fans aren’t buying it!

it all went down on June 16th and 17th, when the former manager took to Instagram to tell the world his truth. The 43-year-old entrepreneur went on to post a series of photo dumps, reflecting on the 23 years of experience he had in the industry. His last post, a letter saying goodbye to his old job and reflecting on what’s about to come, was the drop that broke the camel’s back!

In the post, the entrepreneur described several K-pop groups, such as TXT, NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, SEVENTEEN, and ILLIT, as “new acts,” sparking outrage among fans. Let’s not forget TXT and SEVENTEEN debuted in 2019 and 2015, respectively, and have been central to HYBE’s success for years. This mislabeling has fans accusing Braun of undermining the groups’ work in the industry.

This farewell letter has caused some fans to demand Braun’s departure from HYBE. What’s more, it has sparked calls for a boycott of the company, as fans express their disappointment and anger over his actions. The worst part comes as some K-pop followers have made sure to expose Braun as a zionist and Israel supporter, which heavily adds to the drama.
