On June 15th, Princess Charlotte attracted attention during Trooping The Colour because it seems she gave a nod to Princess Diana with her look. Royal supporters were quick to notice this detail, as they claim that William’s daughter is the spitting image of her late grandmother.
Charlotte, for the military event, wore a beautiful navy blue dress with white details and a classic sailor-style collar combined with light strappy shoes and a white bow in the middle to delicately gather her blonde hair. The similarities were soon noticed by experts.
In a photograph of 1981 where posed the current King Charles, the late Queen Elizabeth II, and Princess Diana, you could see that she wore a dress very similar to Charlotte; the color was navy blue with a V-neck and decorated with white details. The only difference is that the bow that had the mother of William at that time was red.
This strong similarity would confirm that it is not a coincidence, and Charlotte wanted to honor her late grandmother in this important parade, and what better way to do it than by wearing the iconic dresses that Diana wore and made fashionable during her old years in London?
