Justin Timberlake refused to take the breathalyzer test from cop who didn’t know him amid arrest

Justin Timberlake was recently arrested for DWI in Sag Harbor, New York after a night out with friends. While the “Mirrors” singer claimed he had just “one martini” before being detained, he failed sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving yesterday, Tuesday, June 18th. The funniest part? The officer did not even recognize him. 

Despite being globally successful and a 10-time Grammy winner, Justin Timberlake was reportedly detained by a young officer, who was totally unaware of his celebrity status. To make things even more uncomfortable, the “Cry Me A River” hitmaker underwent the sobriety test but declined the breathalyzer test. Then, Timberlake complained about the situation ruining his tour:

“Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour,’” a source said.

The singer and actor was charged with DWI and additional traffic violations. His case is currently in the hands of Eddie Burke. While the specifics remain under wraps, one thing’s for sure: Justin Timberlake’s career has suffered from a bad generational transition, and unlike his peers (Beyoncé or Taylor Swift), he has not been able to gain younger audiences.
