According to the media ‘Page Six‘, the renowned pop singer Justin Timberlake was arrested early Tuesday morning in the United States for driving under the influence of substances and cited for two traffic violations: failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to keep right.
Timberlake was having dinner on Monday night at the historic American Hotel with friends. The arrest occurred as the singer was leaving the establishment in his gray BMW model 2025. A source revealed to Page Six that the officer “was so young that he didn’t even know who the pop star was“, claiming that the cop didn’t recognize him.
Although the ‘Friends with Benefits’ actor refused to take an alcohol test, the officer wrote on the report that Timberlake had “bloodshot and glassy eyes” and “a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage“, which was enough to get him arrested and taken to the station.
On Tuesday, Timberlake was seen leaving the police station in the company of his prestigious lawyer, Edward Burke Jr. The Grammy winner was not eligible for bail and will have his next court date set for July 26th, but he may not have to attend the arraignment.
