According to recent revelations, BLACKPINK‘s member Rosé is in negotiations about joining The Black Label, a discographic company founded by Teddy Park, to sign an exclusive contract for working together on her upcoming solo projects.
Following reports from a local media outlet that say the K-Pop idol will start a new path as a solo artist on The Black Label, on June 17th, the agency shared an official statement saying, “We are currently discussing the issue over the contract“.

The Black Label is an associate company of YG Entertainment, which debuted the girl group BLACPINK in 2016. This agency currently represents renowned solo artists such as BIGBANG‘s Taeyang, Jeon So-mi, actor Park Bo-gum, among others in the Korean industry.
With the other members of BLACKPINK making their own way as solo artists outside of YG Entertainment, it is expected that Rosé does the same, and with her strong bond with Park, whom she even introduced as “the fifth member” of the girl group, she would continue with his support.
