King Charles III’s rising reign has faced several challenges including his health status over the last few weeks. However, this hasn’t been an obstacle for him to successfully fulfill some of his royal duties, and others being delayed for concerns of a spying matter.
British soldiers are still wearing cap badges from the late Queen Elizabeth II due to the concern that the Chinese manufacturers might bug the new insignias from King Charles III. The whole controversy relies that some of the components manufactured in China could have been fitted with tiny tracking devices.
Financial Times reported that tiny trinkets might double as GPS trackers and disturb King Charles III’s peace. The matter even became public knowledge after the senior U.K defense official had a short convo with the media.
“There is a fear that tracking devices or a GPS transmitter could be embedded in the cap badges. The result is a delay in the introduction of the cap badges as the U.K. cannot manufacture them as quickly or as cheaply.”
