During her June 12th tour of London’s Garden Museum for her visit, Queen Camilla revealed the royal role she would like to take away from King Charles III while giving an impromptu little speech that generated surprise among those present that day.
It was the gallery exhibition ‘Gardening Bohemia: Bloomsbury Women Outdoors‘ that inspired Camilla to say, “I don’t know how many visits I’ve paid here—quite a lot. I know my husband’s patron but I might have to nudge him, I’d quite like to take that one away from him“.
The Queen also added to her speech, “It’s such a special place that every time I’m asked, I just have to come back again and I think this wonderful exhibition celebrating women in gardening is so important“, showing that she is passionate about the subject and the significant value it has.
It is possible that after the honesty with which Camilla spoke, King Charles III is finally ready to give her the title of Royal Patron of the Garden Museum that he has long held. As his wife has shown a genuine interest in this patronage and what it represents, this would be quite a romantic act on his part.
