This relatable revelation came at the 80th anniversary commemorations of D-Day in Portsmouth. In the event, Prince William was having an exchange with the family of World War Two hero Captain Alastair Bannerman. Surprisingly, their convo took a funny turn when the captain’s great-granddaughter asked the heir to the throne about Princess Charlotte’s absence.

The Prince of Wales said that the young royal was busy with school exams that day. This is a little reminder that behind the palace doors, the regal children face many of the same challenges as other kids around the world. It’s clear that, royal or not, school exams can be a nightmare for any child!
